St. Bridget (Brigid) oval medal that depicts the saint on the front and “Pray For Us” on the back. This detailed die-cast medal is made in the region of Italy that produces the finest quality medals in the world.

Brigid is the most well-known female leader of the early Celtic Christian Church. Her feast day is the 1st of February and is celebrated as St. Bridget’s Day (this is an anglicized spelling of her name; another common spelling is St Brigid). Saint Bridget is one of the few saints who stands on the boundary between pagan mythology, Druidism, and Christian spirituality.

She is the patron saint of babies, blacksmiths, boatmen, cattle, chicken farmers, children whose parents are not married, dairymaids, dairy workers, fugitives, infants, mariners, midwives, milkmaids, poultry raisers, printing presses, sailors, scholars, travelers, watermen, creativity scholars, and poets.
