Archangel Michael oval medal. The front depicts St. Michael, the warrior angel of protection and the reverse is marked “Protect Us”.

Michael the Archangel is the patron saint of grocers, mariners, paratroopers, police officers, military personnel, the dying, and cemeteries. Brussels, Germany Papua New Guinea, and the Basques; invoked against peril at sea. His feast day is September 29th.

Archangel Michael, whose name means ‘he who is as God’, is most often thought of as the angel of protection and the most powerful of all the angels. He is the Great Defender of all that is good.
