Saint Dismas oval medal that depicts the saint on the front and “Pray For Us” on the back. This detailed die-cast medal is made in the region of Italy that produces the finest quality medals in the world.

Saint Dismas is also known as the Good Thief, the Penitent Thief, the Grateful Thief, or the Thief on the Cross. He is one of two men that were crucified alongside Jesus on Calvary. In the Gospel of Luke, Saint Dismas, the penitent thief is described as asking Jesus to “remember him” when Jesus arrives at his kingdom. The other man, Gestas the impenitent thief, challenges Jesus to save himself to prove that he is the Messiah. Because of his request of Jesus that he at least be remembered by Jesus when Jesus came into his kingdom, Saint Dismas was forgiven and promised entry into paradise.

Saint Dismas is the patron of prisoners (especially condemned ones), repentant thieves, funeral directors, and undertakers.
